Dr. Ashkan Mansouri (Ph.D, M.Sc, B. Arch.)

Ashkan is an architect and academician in architectural design field. He started his professional education at the Tabriz Azad University, School of Art and Architecture where he completed his B. Arch degree in architecture in 2004. He was also awarded M.Sc degree from Tabriz Art University in 2007. During his postgraduate studies, Ashkan established his design studio in Tabriz- Iran in 2004 to work on architectural and interior design projects. In 2007 he moved the studio to Istanbul and finished his Ph.D studies in Architectural Design and Morphology in Istanbul Technical University in 2018. He has been a Fellow of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) from 2009 to 2013 . From 2012 to 2017 he was visiting scholar in Chalmers University of technology in Sweden. He has articles and conferance papers about Environment-Behavior Studies, Space Syntax Theory and Spatial Configuration of historical, modern and contemporary buildings.
He was lecturer in architectural design studios in Istanbul Okan University from 2016 to 2018. Since 2019 he is lecturer Dr. in kadir has University in interior architecture & environmental design faculty and Asst. Prof. Dr. in Beykoz university in Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.

Collabrative Works:

Nima Dibazar was a partner of the studio in 2005/06 and his collaboration with the studio resulted in design and delivery of three projects of residential,Vanda fast food interior esign and a 10,000 sq m Pakris factory within one year. Nima has then worked with international practices in Dubai and London.
From 2008 to 2011 Ashkan collaborated in AU Architecture + Urban 's numerous architectural and urban design projects including master plans, cultural, educational and commercial buildings in Turkey, Libya and Lithuania.
His recent collaboration with construction firms consisted of villas, high-end residential and commercial projects in Turkey, Cyprus, Crimea, Mauritania, Kosovo and USA.

Range of Works:

Starting from small scale interior design projects, the studio has since designed and delivered a variety of buildings in residential, commercial, educational, industrial and cultural sectors.
